Privacy

Careful with records.
Careful with people.

A clear boundary between public reporting and private source material.

Website

This website contains no analytics, advertising tags, third-party embeds, account system or report-upload form. Links to an email address open your email application; the website itself does not send or store the message. Hosting infrastructure may process request information, including IP addresses and technical logs, to provide and protect the service.

Email inquiries

Project email is handled through Google Workspace. Messages and attachments you choose to send are stored in the project mailbox and may be reviewed for a response or further research. The topic addresses listed on our contact page route to the same mailbox. Ordinary email is not an anonymous or confidential reporting channel.

Source material

Start with a brief description. Do not send credentials, government ID numbers, unredacted financial information or confidential case records in an initial inquiry. A secure process for sensitive submissions has not been established. Discuss access, retention and consent before providing sensitive material.

Sending information and consenting to publication are separate decisions. Receipt of an inquiry does not create a promise of confidentiality, representation, investigation or publication.

Publication review

Private evidence and working notes are kept separate from public website assets. Records should be reviewed for personal information, safety concerns and disclosure restrictions before publication. Material corrections and responses can be sent through the contact page.

Privacy questions

Contact privacy@coloradosafercommunityproject.org with a privacy concern or request. Identify the relevant message or page without including additional sensitive information. A request does not guarantee deletion of records that may need to be retained.
